This wine is obtained from grapes grown in the area from where the classification took the name. In this area the calcareous soil, the exposure to the sun and the particular climate are very different from the rest of the province of Brescia. It is the area where we began to produce wine 200 years ago. The historical vineyard of the Coccoli family, perched on the slopes of Caionvico and Botticino, is constituted by old vines of 45 years old, rooted in a poor land, that produce a small quantity of high quality grapes. A large wooden barrel contains this wine during the ageing to get a strong persistent and balanced wine.
