It is the wine from our great native grape variety, grown exclusively on the Brescian shore of Lake Garda on an area of about 400 ha. We produce this wine exclusively with the variety Groppello. We make a vinification that enhances fruity and elegant scents, avoiding the pungent tannin and the vegetal aroma often expressed by this kind of wines. The bouquet is intense varietal delicately spicy, reminiscent of cherry black cherry and strawberry. It has good acidity and flavour that are characteristics of the land from which it comes. It is a wine of great drinkability and easy to match with different dishes. Interesting also as wine served cool in the summer. There have been many discussions and debates on this variety but what we have learned from our personal experience is that the Groppello wine is a non-conformist wine, it has to be accepted for what it is: it has great advantages to be exploited and some shortcomings that are deficient only if we try to produce at all costs a certain type of wine. The Groppello wine is original insolent, it still requires studies to improve its knowledge. It is therefore a wine marked by a renewal towards one direction that is to develop at best the natural characteristics of the grapes. And the best way to do that is surely to cultivate and to produce wine with organic farming methods
